Dastaan-E-1857: A Poetic & Historical Tribute To The Revolt Of 1857 In Delhi

Poems and songs have for long been the elixir of battle-weary Soldiers fighting for their Motherland...and what better place to hear and feel the emotions of  "Veer Rasa" songs than when we walk on a specially curated ‘Poetic Heritage Trail’ to re-live the 5-month period of the Revolt of 1857 as it unfolded in our city almost 160 years ago.  With almost non-existent Mughal Empire being thrust into prominence and "Chalo Dilli" becoming the rallying cry for the mutineers & civilians from all over Northern India…

Our ‘Poetic Heritage Tribute’  spots like the major city-fort entrance saw pitched fighting, memorials erected in the memory of the Indian & British soldiers who lost their lives. We walk, all along humming & singing songs to pay homage to the Heroes of India's 1st War of Independence!!!
