Mera Pyaar Shalimar – medieval gardens

Discover history and natural diversity in place we least expect it to find it in. In the concrete jungle of North West Delhi sits this gem of a garden called Shalimar Bagh, a 17th century Mughal Garden. Did you know that AUrangzeb was crowned in this park in 1658! A park with a hidden story and beautiful fountains lays in a dilapidated condition today . Walk through these ruins and uncover the mysteries. In this  special “filmi” theatrical walk, expect to roleplay, dramatise a couplet, improvise on a theme as you meander through centuries of stories and a Mughal garden.

Jaya Iyer is a theatre artist, dancer and a storyteller connected with the Tibetan Movement for over a decade. Jaya has been associated with KLoD.B and will be leading this walk through Delhi’s Mini Tibet.
